Technical Sales Engineer

Capture 3D, www.capture3d.com is seeking a motivated and strategic thinking Technical Salesperson to join our successful, expanding and dynamic organization. This position is in the Charlotte North Carolina area and is targeted to further develop and support the South East region territory. Capture 3D has offices in Costa Mesa CA (HQ), Farmington Hills MI (automated solution center), Hartford CT, Seattle WA and Charlotte NC.
We are the exclusive North American provider of the industry leading German engineered ATOS 3D non-contact measurement and inspection solutions. Our diverse customer base includes Automotive, Aerospace, Power Generation (propulsion and ground based), Entertainment and Consumer Goods OEM's and their suppliers supporting a range of manufacturing process including casting, forging, plastic mold injection, stamping, carbon fiber, additive manufacturing and machined components.
Capture 3D increases our customers competitive edge by quickly and accurately providing a 3D "As Built" digital definition to aide the optimization of 1st article inspections, quality control, root cause analysis, rapid manufacturing, CFD / FEA analysis and 1st time existing part digital creation (reverse engineering) processes through the implementation of 3D non-contact measurement and inspection solutions.
The Technical Sales candidate must be self motivated, able to work both independently and alongside Capture 3D's management and support organization.
About the job
Support existing accounts to maintain customer satisfaction as well as identify and derive ROI for additional system opportunities.
Establish and manage new accounts utilizing our sales process from initial contact through PO. Implement an organized and structured methodology for weekly work schedule to call on and address prospects, identified potential opportunities and installed base customers
Articulate technology capabilities and process benefits of our solutions, organization, and products via presentations, demonstrations, cost benefit analysis (ROI), proof of concept engagements, and service projects.
Work in tandem with our technical team to present solutions and benefits for that specific prospect and their industry
Detailed and accurate forecasting of territory opportunities
Communicate and update management on a regular basis
Other sales and account support related duties

Basic Qualifications:
2-10 years of technical related direct sales experience (CAD/CAM, metrology or related type solutions is a benefit)
Ability to articulate technical information in a simplistic and concise manner
Capital equipment sales experience
Strong closing skills
Dedicated work ethic and willing to work the hours commensurate with the sales position
Technical competence
Excellent presentation skills
Sound knowledge of PC use and applications
Willingness to travel 30%-50%
Knowledge of Engineering, Manufacturing or Inspection /Quality processes a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

Track record of attaining sales goals
Conversant in Executive level business discussions
Formal sales training
Metrology sales experience
Experience or working knowledge of metrology systems (CMM, laser tracker, scanners, portable arms)
Aerospace, automotive and power generation industries sales experience
Bachelor's degree

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
