TURBINE GENERATOR SPECIALIST
This position is responsible for providing project management support and technical leadership for assigned turbine, generator and associated projects, including scope development, technical inspection and repair specification. Incumbent will perform the development and execution of contractor and vendor requirements, project scheduling oversight, formation and development of project team structure, leadership and facilitation of project meetings, preparation and delivery of written or verbal communications and presentations, and the development and management of project budgets in accordance with all applicable procedures. Incumbent must be able to provide technical leadership and project oversight for multiple internal and external project organization members to ensure efficient project execution. The primary technical focus for assigned projects will be the inspection, repair and reliable operation of turbine generator and associated components. Incumbent will provide technical evaluation, repair recommendations and quality assurance based on equipment assessment, performance assessment and physical condition inspections for turbine generator, and boiler feed pump turbines and associated equipment. Incumbents would be expected to manage multiple (1 to 3) projects in various stages of development, planning and execution. Depending upon the desired qualifications of the successful candidate, the hiring manager may elect to fill this position at a higher level within the job hierarchy.
Qualifications: Basic Qualifications
The candidate must posses a 4-year bachelor degree and four years of turbine/generator related experience preferred; or , a combination of a high school diploma or equivalent plus ten years related experience required. .
The candidate must be able to demonstrate proficiency in use of personal computers, including Microsoft Office products.
The candidate must be able to obtain unescorted nuclear access.
Desired Qualifications
The preferred candidate will have a technical knowledge of the operation and maintenance activities of related to turbine/generator equipment.
The preferred candidate will have experience leading employees in routine, outage and project activities.
The preferred candidate will have a thorough knowledge of nuclear power plant processes, instructions, codes, and other job requirements.
