Summary:
The role of the IT Service Desk Consultant is to be one of the first points of IT contacts in supporting the end user with either software or hardware equipment troubles within the Burkert IT Service Management process.
The position will involve setup of user and client base configurations of application systems and equipment.
The job will also include basic IT troubleshooting analysis steps with categorizing and prioritization of escalation within ticket closure.
The role will also be highly involved with documentation of procedures, application instructions, facility and equipment.

Responsibilities:
Operate as a skilled contributor to the Americas IT team while being a respectful member within the global IT and liaison to other company colleagues, customers or partners IT troubles.
Provide both 1st and 2nd level support to end users reacting and remedy service level tickets.
Respond to proactive manage alerts or troubles within the data network and assist with resolution of any computer base equipment errors, outbreaks and alerts with determination to engage higher level IT resources as necessary.
Creation of knowledge-based articles and assisting with IT documentation Support security compliance, software licensing requirements and change management authorization approval process.
Support the activation and deactivation of end user within associated applications, devices, peripheral within the environment.
Maintaining data consistency and quality within specific assigned applications.
Assist in support and maintenance of Burkert standardize equipment throughout the client life cycle (e.
g.
Provisioning, Deploying, migrating user-data, asset inventory, removal and protection of company data, recycling) REQUIREMENTS:
Required knowledge of SAP ERP and working within a central helpdesk tool with Knowledge Base article creation for end users Highly responsive with strong communication skills in simplifying complex technical issue to non-IT staff Knowledge or previous work experience within high tech manufacturer or similar industry Higher level understanding of MS Windows, Office (especially Excel), Active Directory, Group Policy, Client Management suites for autonomous delivery of applications and experience working with enterprise security suites.
Computer Certificate or Approved Technical School program preferred The ability to lift equipment over 23 Kilograms / 50 lbs.
English language required where alternate Spanish, Portuguese or German is a plus due to a diversified support organization.
