Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for assisting the Home & Commercial Segment with analytical support tied to various aspects of Supply Chain finance.
This position will continuously identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiently navigate financial systems and tools to provide timely and accurate financial information.
The individual should be comfortable communicating to all levels of the organization and able to develop positive relationships in order to gather information and influence decision making.
Duties Include:
Leads the development, management, and execution of accurate, insightful, proactive, and timely analysis and reporting with guidance from leadership.
Translates complex business concepts into financial outcomes, makes connections, identifies financial risk/opportunities, and provides recommendations to leadership Lead the financial analysis for VAVE (Value Analysis and Value Engineering) as needed.
Lead Make vs.
Buy analysis for new product development/innovation.
Provide guidance to the team using a total cost approach in the decision process.
Work collaboratively with plant controllers and provide business support to other groups within the Home & Commercial Segment including centralized teams.
Provide P&L support to the Segment by providing commentary and forecasting as it relates to the Home & Commercial segment partnering with the Center Supply Chain team.
Qualifications:
BS/BA in Accounting or Finance A minimum of 5 years experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Demonstrated record of continued career progression across broader, challenging roles Strong computer systems skills, with advanced knowledge of spreadsheets and databases (Excel - pivot tables/v-lookups).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate across the organization, positive attitude and works well in teams Detail oriented, works with a sense of urgency, takes initiative and can work through multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Must be willing to work well in a dynamic changing environment Self starter with the ability to work independently Operates with a clear bias for action including the ability to drive change informally as required Significant experience with SAP/Oracle and Hyperion strongly preferred Newell Brands (NASDAQ:
