Job Type Full-time, Part-timeDescriptionThe Turn House Manager performs all tasks associated with executing Food & Beverage service at the Club's Greenside Caf.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, welcoming individual to provide timely service to our club members.
The turn house has indoor bar seating and outdoor patio seating for members playing golf, leaving the gym, or just joining us for lunch or dinner.
Job Summary (Essential Functions)The Turn House Manager will be responsible for opening our Greenside Caf in the morning using assigned prep work, efficiently serving food and beverages throughout the shift, maintaining a clean and tidy workspace, and performing clean-up and closing duties as assigned by manager.
The turn house has a full bar and food service, as well as quick grab-and-go beverages and snacks.
Because this position is highly visible and includes daily interaction with Club members and guests, requiring exceptional customer relations skills is essential.
Full time or Part time hours available.
Compensation $10.
00 per hour, plus on course tip pool as well as additional tips from turn house.
Benefits include medical, dental, vacation, sick time, and 401k.
Vacation begins accruing immediately, available for use after 60 days of employment.
Medical and dental is available after 60 days after employment.
After 1 year of employment, 401k is available on January 1st or July 1st.
Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations Prompt, courteous, smooth, and efficient service of food and beverages to members and guests.
Greet and acknowledge members and guests; learn members' names and their special preferences.
Knowledgeable of the food and alcohol menu; offer suggestions based on the a la carte menu, daily specials, and wine selections.
Knowledgeable of wines and common cocktails.
Practice food safety protocols.
RequirementsJob Tasks/Duties Sets up side station and performs assigned side (prep) work.
Prepares hot dogs, sandwiches, and bratwursts to order in a timely fashion.
Ensures all sandwich and hot dog toppings are fresh and ready-to-eat.
Efficiently serves food and drinks in a friendly and courteous manner, offers suggestions on daily specials and wine selections based on member and guest preferences.
Ensures the correct member numbers and names are entered accurately through the Club's POS system for proper billing.
Places orders with kitchen; informs cooks about any special cooking instructions.
Verifies accuracy of prices, tips, and other charges on all checks.
Presents the bill; Handles credit card charges as prescribed by standard operating procedures.
Thanks members and guests; invites them to return.
Keeps turn house and patio sanitized and tidy; clears, cleans, and resets tables that have been vacated.
Requisitions supplies from Club's kitchen and storeroom to ensure supplies are appropriately stocked Immediately notifies Food and Beverage Manager of any product quality or quantity concerns.
Advises supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur.
Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned by manager.
Turns in signed tip declaration form weekly.
Consistently follows local and state laws and the club's policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages to members and guests.
Completes other appropriate work assignments as requested by Food and Beverage Manager or supervisor.
Licenses and Special Requirements Of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages; at least 21 years of age per NC alcohol service laws Alcoholic beverage certification preferred.
Food safety certification preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach.
Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.
Continuous repetitive motions.
Work in hot, humid, and noisy environment.
Education and/or Experience Two years of comparable wait service experience required.
The ability to read, write and execute basic math skills.
Previous experience bartending required.
About the ClubNorthStone Country Club is a privately owned club with approximately 1200 members.
NorthStone offers an 18-hole golf course designed by PB Dye.
The dining facilities include a newly renovated ballroom that can seat up to 220 people, main dining room which can accommodate 90 people, and a bar that seats up to 50 with multiple patio areas.
NorthStone club also has four swimming pools, water slide, a 3000 square foot fitness center, and tennis complex.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
